This pattern was created after the hurricane Sandy, I too, like many others wanted to help.

This hat was planned for extra comfort in cold weather. The high brim is double folded for extra warmth and protection. The top is nicely textured and very stretchy to fit the wider range of recipients. There is a variation in the fold of the brim that can give it a fancy scalloped look. The stitch pattern is easy and interesting to knit. The large, size US 8 (5mm) needles and WW yarn mean that each hat knits up very fast.

I tried to make the pattern as clear as possible with lots of photos (5 in progress) and detailed explanations. If you experence any difficulties you are welcome to contact me through my email.
