Amazing Slippers - knit flat and totally seamless!
They are unusual and truly amazing! A friend's Mom, who lives in a tiny village in Siberia showed me how to knit these slippers. Unfortunately her instructions were rather sketchy and It took a lot of effort to transform them into a pattern that can be easily mastered by most knitters.
Why are these slippers Amazing? They are knit flat on straight needles in one piece, but there are no seams! That is right, these slippers are completely seamless! And you will not need to use any fancy techniques like double knitting or short rows. There is no grafting too!

The yarn I used for most of these slippers was Swish Superwash, by Knit Picks
in Worsted Weight. It is my favorite superwash yarn. I have also used Lions Brand Fisherman yarn in Aran Weight and it made a lovely denser slipper. I doubled the yarn for the sole on one of the slippers, while it was harder to knit it made a wonderfully warm and cushy slipper. If you will double the yarn for the sole add one more skein of yarn to that is recommended.
2 skeins of yarn in Color A (Extra Large slippers might require a bit more yarn).
1 skein of yarn in Color B
1 size US 2 (2.75 mm) circular needle, or a pair of straight needles in size US 2 (2.75 mm).
1 size US 3 (3.25 mm) circular needle, or a pair of straight needles in size US 3 (3.25 mm).
2 stitch markers
A tapestry needle to weave in the ends.
