I want you to know that this is my second attempt at writing this post.
The first time I started talking about my kids and got really sidetracked. Well, happens to all the Mothers, and I will share those musings with you too. So, now, that you have been warned, without getting unduly distracted, here are my latest acquisitions:
Three hanks of Kauni 8/2 in cream-grey-brown-chocolate colorway.
Three hanks of Kauni 8/2 in black-grey-purple. This colorway is very aptly named Black Lilly.
Three hanks of Kauni 8/2 in blue and purple – this yarn is destined for my friend Tamar, together with the appropriate Addi needle. She is planing on making an Ample shawl of her own.
An amazing Kauni 8/2 Solid Charcoal Grey. It is a huge hank and got 330 grams in it.
Very yummy white Angora blend yarn and absolutely beautiful blue merino-silk blend for a baby hat for my friend’s “baby Q”.
And two skeins (one purple, one grey) of an amazingly soft Cobweb merino yarn. I do not usually buy the yarn this thin. I subscribe to theory that my life is not long enough to knit true lace. But one of the ladies in my group pointed out that there are over 1600 meters in each ball. And if one will hold 2 or more strands together it is possible to get a smallish sweater out of one skein. Since I am fairly large, I got 2 skeins, and I am planning on a vest instead of the sweater.
