I am still waiting… I feel like I might end up in the Guinness Book of Records for “the longest pregnancy ever”…
So what am I doing? I am knitting socks. Somehow that is what I feel like. I took a friend’s advise and finally finished up a pair of Beloved Socks, that has been waiting for a while. I was only about 5 rounds short of yarn. So I just added another color to my toe. It is practically impossible to see when I am wearing it.
On Friday I finished another pair made from the yarn cooked up by Yarnarian. Talk about color therapy! I finished these socks in two days because I love the colors so much. It is a very simple, straightforward sock (the only type of knitting I am capable of at this point). But the top is very stretchy, so it will accommodate my swollen feet now and will not slouch later on.
I am trying, to finish up some lingering projects. This means that now I have them out on my bed accusingly staring at me, while I contemplate more sock yarn. And yes, I have actually started TWO new pairs of socks. At the same time.
I have also started packing my bags. Yes “bags” in multiple. I am the kind of person who either rushes in without anything, or brings everything she can think of. So far one bag packed. With yarn. And hooks, and needles. And notebooks, a few knitting books I have been meaning to read for a while and my favorite markers. I have to knit faster, because the bag is so full, that I can not zip it closed. So, I need to take something out, this means I have to finish something. I know I sound like a nut. I just can not help it.
As to the other essentials… I know, I know, I need to do better. I will try today.
