The Summer vacations are here. I call them teacher appreciation days. This is when we – parents, really miss school.
My girls have been on vacation for over a week, and they are soooooo bored. Of course, nothing I suggest in the way of entertainment is fun. Two days left to the beginning of day camp…
Well, paybacks are tough, I still remember driving my Mother nuts with the same complaint.
Today I have actually had a few hours of peace and quiet. My 10 year-old went to help one of my friends, who is baking a huge cake and making chocolate decorations for the upcoming Bar Mitzvah (now officially less than a week). The boys went to play at my neighbors apartment and one of my friends has generously agreed to have my 8 year-old at her house. I put the babies to sleep and serenity reined supreme for at least three hours.
Unfortunately instead of knitting I spend this time working on my list of things to do.
I am about 30% ahead with the Bar Mitzvah vest. Have to hurry up and finish it.
I just keep repeating to myself – it is only a couple of days left. They go to camp on Wednesday. Than I will have only 3 kids at home. That is practically lonely.
