At this point we made an executive decision to skip Harrisburg, PA. The apostille will only cost us $15.00. Probably less than we would spend on gas and tolls. Yes, it will take about 10 days to get it but I just could not face another office at that point.
Instead we went to visit my Grandmother. She has gotten more frail over the past year and each time I see her I am thankful that she is alive and relatively well. We enjoyed this visit so much! Grandmother was feeling well and could really enjoy DD #3 and DD #4.
She told us more stories about herself and her family. And complained about her eyesight. At this point she can only see shadows and only from one eye. But not only does she tries to be independent, she continues to crochet and to sew. Here is one set she made for herself:
Sadly he never got to wear it. It is way too big for my DH, but in time might fit one of the boys. It is interesting how in my family the older coats, dresses and other things made by my Grandparents are seen as a work of art and the heirlooms, not as a used closing. They are cherished and passed on from one person to another.
After that we started on our way home. On the way back I worked a bit on my “going to be felted” slippers and tried out some cuff variations for the upcoming socks and mittens for my kids until it got too dark to knit.
