Thank G-d for my needles and hooks! And my so very ample yarn stash! It is now actually so large that last time when I went yarn shopping I only found one yarn I was interested in. An acrylic (believe it or not) with a chenille like feel. I have started making a new blanket with it already!
Half of the central rectangle is now done.
I always try to have at least one “knitting in the dark” thing on my needles. And this is it for now.
And yes, I started another new project (that is number 5, if anyone is keeping track). A jumper for DD #5, that I have been planing to knit for the longest time.
And as usual I am still not sure how it will look when it grows up.
Meanwhile I am continuing my finishing marathon.
I just finished a pair of fingerless mitts for myself. I can’t believe that this project has lingered for almost a year. But I just could not envision the top part. All of a sudden it clicked and the mittens were finished in less than two days.
I still have a few more days of Aftober and I am hoping to finish a few more projects.
I need to put a button on this short cape. And (groaning) to finally put buttons on the vest I knit for DH’s birthday last year. It took me almost a year to find “manly” buttons with a shank for this vest. I hope putting them on will take less time.
Last but not least on a “finish me” list is a pair of Amazing Siberian Slippers I am knitting for my Mom. I misplaced the last ball of yellow yarn I needed for these slippers and almost gave up on them. Well, last week I was searching for that perfect button I knew I had and I came across the much needed ball.
And yes, I found the perfect button too!
