My little monkeys are feeling much, much better. I have caught the cold from them but also feel better today. Probably because I slept most of the day.
I went through all my “projects in progress”, realized that I have way too many and promptly started two more. But they really should not take long (famous last words) – they are just socks!
Only on Shabbos I realized how awfully busy the last two weeks were. With kids getting sick, and us running after the documents there are four packages with goodies that I have not opened yet! And two more on the way!
I decided that I will open one package each day and of course show it off here.
This package came in the mail on Friday afternoon. I was sleeping when it came and when DH woke me up and showed it to me it took a while to figure out what it was – we do not usually get our packages at our address because either the mailman doesn’t bother to deliver them, or they drop the package outside the building, where it ends up stolen within moments. OK, I am not going to go on the major “Going Postal” rant, but the delivery of this package is nothing short of a minor miracle.
It was too late to open up the box before Shabbos, so I had fun imagining what could be there. The package is from the round robin type of swap from one of my Ravelry forums. It is called very appropriately “Yarn It Forward”.
We (DD#1 and I) went bananas when we opened the box. It is like getting a gift from yarn fairy after putting a few needles and hooks under the pillow.
Inside the box were a pretty little notebook – I love notebooks and journals.
Needle or hook case from Knitting Kaboodle – black and purple – my favorite combinations. This will be perfect for travel.
My favorite brand of tea – how did she know? In my favorite flavor – cinnamon!
1 skein of “fyberspates” 100% merino made in Wales,
1 skein of TY-DY Socks by K1C2,
1 skein of Indulgence with aloe extra soft sock yarn.
All I can say is – wow! Got to finish some projects, so I could justify starting another one with this wonderful yarn.
OK, that is all for tonight. Another box is coming tomorrow.
