I should be busily crocheting my Summer Vest. I really was, until…
Until I decided that I needed a really easy knitting project for the times when my brain is too fuzzy to count the stitches and my hands are too tired to hold my crochet hook. So I started knitting a skirt for my toddler (I wanted a small project I could take with me anywhere I went).
Since it is a Summer project I chose lovely Bamboo / Wool blend yarn – Panda Wool, by Crystal Palace Yarns. It is actualy supposed to be sock yarn – I love making baby things from sock yarns because it usually means that they are washable and dryable and easy to care for. Well, I would not use this yarn for socks. It is too flexible and does not hold its shape and I also have a feeling that it will not stand up too well to abrasion. But for a flirty, drapy, summery skirt it is perfect!
So, for the last few days I have barely touched my poor, neglected vest and concentrated instead on the little skirt. It is now almost done! And I am thinking about a little vest or bolero to go with it! But I will try to hold off starting it until I finish at least the fronts of the Summer Vest.
