Finally yesterday I corralled DH and we took photos of some more finished projects! Then I even got him to upload the photos on the laptop. I miss my computer! Unfortunately it looks like it is permanently dead. And there is just no way for us to buy another one in the foreseeable future.
Well, what can not be changed must be endured.
Now off to the happier subject.
My “Ample Shawl” is the project I am especially proud of. First of all it is truly huge! Ample indeed! It is made for my friend Nechama, who has moved to the US a few months ago. Well, she will have to come here to pick it up, since I am not going to entrust this blanket to the mail system.
Too much work, time and yarn were invested in it.
My friend wanted a shawl big enough to hide from the whole world – well she got it! The front looks like a simple cardigan, the back is half circular. But it can also be worn reversed back to front to accommodate a sling or a baby carrier. Since both my friend and I are baby-wearing nursing Mamas it is just right for us. And it stayed on my shoulders firmly the whole day I tried it out.
Now I am thinking I should make another shawl like this one for me.
P.S. A few people already have asked me for a pattern. Well, I have decided that if I get at least 10 requests I will go for it and publish it.
So anyone wants a pattern?
