I have been promising to show off my Rhinebeck purchases. Sorry, it has taken me a couple of days.
We did not get to open the bags until Thursday night. By then I really could not remember what was in them.
Horrible, is it not?!
This time around I had a very limited budget but still managed to get some gorgeous yarn.
I am very touched by the gift from my wonderful friend Maggie. She has gifted me one of her very special bags. It is huge! I love huge bags. And it has camels and date palms on it. I remember that on our trip to Israel was shocked to discover the abundance of palms. It is going to be my travel bag.
DD #1 too got a very special Bundaflika bag. She was trilled! It is a perfect size for her!
My huge bag was full of amazing goodies. There was so any – they did not fit in one photo!
The first thing I went looking for, when I got to Sheep & Wool, was yarn from “The Fold”. Of course, there were other yarn buying opportunities. At one point I was seriously thinking about some delicious merino-silk blend. I was holding one skein and a fellow shopper was holding another from the same dye lot. Each skein is 400 yards long. She said musingly that 400 yards would make a nice shawl. Then added, 800 would make even nicer shawl. Each of us grabbed a second skein. We eyed each other, probably thinking that with 1600 yards…
DD #1 helped me so much. She entertained the baby, passed out my cards and run errands. Her prize was permission to pick out a yarn she fell in love with for a sweater. I want to tell you, I brought up this child right! She picked out a very pretty skein of purple baby alpaca. Since she could not make up her mind between two purples, and since by that time I had a fever, we got them both.
Last, but not least is a very pretty needle case gifted to me by Kim. If you want to see the most adorable baby bunnies come to her blog.
