My home is now a very quiet place. I will admit that it is not it’s usual state. Normally we fluctuate between organized chaos and total chaos. Quiet… Well, it is not even a goal at this point.
This is why when I float into the island of calm and piece and, yes, I will say it again quiet I appreciate it so much.
The Shabbos is over, all kids are asleep at the same time, DH is working on his computer in another room and I am hiding out in the bedroom pretending that things like housework and laundry does not exist.
I am knitting, or writing about knitting, which is almost as satisfying as knitting itself.
I am almost at the end of my Ample Shawl. Actually, at this point I can bind off at any point. It is long enough and Ample enough. But I have about a quarter of skein left, so I am knitting on… I love the feeling of Kauni in my hands and already thinking about what else I will make with this yarn.
But I better switch to knitting now, since I know from experience that quiet will not last…
