I love the photo of DD #3, taken a few days ago by DH. Besides being cute, it brings up a lot of subliminal memories. The Americans here remember this:
It was created in about 1917, and was used by the US Government as a recruiting poster for World War I.
And here is the Russian equivalent:
The text translates as – “Did you Signed up to volunteer” – yes, it is the army too. It was created in 1920 by D. Moore. During Russian Civil War, when Soviets were establishing their power over the Russia.
