If I knew how I would, I really would foam at the mouth. I am that upset with DD#1. After successfully pleasing DD #2 with her very own Raglan Shawl I was going to do something nice for DD#1. All I can say at this point is “Well I Never!” and if I could I would definitely add some snappy British Accent to it. I am definitely not amused. First DD#1 declared that she does not want a shawl. She wants a vest. She described what she wanted exactly. A fine and accommodating Mammy that I am I said “OK my child” and embarked on a raglan vest with all possible speed.
Now, when I am at the underarms point she tells me that she wants it to be zippered. And no color please. But large packets would be appreciated. And forget the hood (now, that I have finally worked out how to add it she lost all the interest in it).
I have to think really hard before I do anything. Do I unravel and re-knit? Do I tell her “Tough, this is how I made it, wear it”? Who am I kidding?! I would not be able force her to wear it. I think I might put it away and work on one of my ongoing sock projects. After all, she just might change her mind again.
