My visit to Israel is close to end. Yesterday I was in Jerusalem and something very amazing caught my eye. A few minutes walk from central bus station I noticed very unusual construction. I was wondering how it is standing this way. After I walked close to it I was shocked. It is a bridge “in the air”. It goes around old buildings, above big intersection. It has sidewalk on top of it. So what is that? The main thing it’s a bridge for the train. And it’s doesn’t touch the ground except its ends. Being half-circle “hanging itself” looks to me beautiful engineering plan and its implantation. It called “Gesher Metarim” – “Bridge of strings”. To see such a modern construction in the middle of one of the oldest cities of the world really wonderful.
