This is a gentle wave pattern , that I created for my friend Menucha . It is perfect for baby blanket or a full size afghan or a reversible scarf. This pattern is very easy and not too “holy”.You will work in multiples of 20+4.
SC – Single Crochet
DC- Double Crochet
Special stitches – double decrease. YO, insert the hook in the next stitch , pull the yarn through , now you have 3 loops on your hook , put your hook in the next stitch and pull the yarn through again. You have 4 loops on the hook. Pull the yarn through 3 of them and then through the last 2. DD made.
R1 SC in the second Ch. from the hook. Sc to the end.Ch.3. In this pattern the end Ch. does not count as a stitch.
R2 2DC in the first stitch. Same in the second. Now over the next 8 stitches we will make 4 DD . After that 2 DC in the next 4 stitches. Continue to the last 2 stitches . Make 2 DC in each of them. Ch. 1.
R3 SC in each stitch to the end. Ch. 3.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until your blanket reaches desirable length , or until you sick of it and declare it done.
