Last night I finished knitting the sleeves on the Megillah Sweater.
Looked at them and realized that they are different length!
When I started poking around to figure out why, I realized that on one sleeve I made a cable cross every eight rows, but on the other every seven rows. The difference is TEN rows!
Darn! Darn! Darn!
You know what this means, right? The frog pond. I riped out one sleeve and started re-knitting it again last night. I will re-knit both. Yes, both sleeves, becouse I was not entirely happy with the decreases I made, so this is an opportunity to change them.I have managed two cable crosses – this time I am careful to use the row counter, then I started falling asleep. So I put the sweater away. The reason why I made this idiotic mistake in the first place is becouse I pushed myself too hard. No more.
Now the kids have left for school, the baby is sleeping, I had my tea and ready to face the sweater.
Here I go again!
And, as before, I will post my progress on Twitter.
