Well… Today, while we were discussing math accomplishments of our various offspring, this is the quote that just popped out of my DH: “Grandpa Stalin says – enemies of my enemies are my friends, friends of my enemies are my enemies, friends of my friends are my friends and enemies of my friends are my enemies”.
You might ask, what is the relationship of this phrase to math? Simple. This was a mnemonic taught to him in fourth grade, by his teacher when he learned about multiplication with negative and positive numbers.
