I jumped for joy when I first saw the photo of this Lacy Twist Stitch Pattern about a year ago. And then I scratched my head. Because there was just a photo there, without any instructions. I searched for it and then gave up, since I did not even have the name of the pattern.
A couple of weeks ago I was surfing through the Russian knitting and crochet sites and there it was again, but this time there were charted instructions! And all turned out to be much, much easier than I thought! I notice that a lot of my “Russian” patterns share these features – they look very impressive, but once you figure them out they are really easy to knit.
Lacy Twist Stitch Pattern is a perfect combination of airy lace and cables. And I am still in love with it!

This stitch pattern is very easy to adjust for knitting in the round. Just knit all the odd numbered rows.
I think this stitch would be wonderful for socks, hats or would make lovely lacy panels on a sweater or a vest.
