Yesterday was such a long day. It seemed to go on forever. And there still was not enough time for me to do all I wanted to.
DD #2 was up at 4 A.M. and somehow decided it was morning already. By the time she went to sleep it was 6 A.M.! And I have to get up at 6.30 A.M. to get the girls ready. They live the house at 7.15 A.M.
After getting the kids out and getting laundry started I tried to make a dent in emails that have piled up since Pesach (only 2400 more to go), caught up with my blogger friends and updated my Etsy shop.
DD #3 was restless. She misses the rest of the kids when they live for school and I was able to talk her into getting her blanket and going to sleep next to my chair. Miraculously she did. So I sneaked off for a nap at the decadent hour of 9.30 a.m. DS #1 woke me up half an hour later (he forgot his key), I opened the door and was too tired to talk. Just stumbled back into my bed.
Woke up later myself with the thought that DS #1 was going back to dorm. And I promised him that we will plant veggies before he lives. We have inherited a bunch of window boxes from previous tenants. DS prepared that the day before and we tried figuring out planting instructions for radishes, kohlrabi, onions and carrots. We got the things planted and I made us all (DH, DS #1, DD#3 and me lunch), then it was time for DS to leave.
I am always frantic until he gets to yeshiva. So I set down and knit frantically on my Vegetarian Blanket.
When I finished one color, I switched to the 10 Stitch Twist blanket and knit some more.
A few hours later he called to say that he made it back to the yeshiva.
I miss him already and can hardly wait until he comes again. He will be back G-d willing in about a week and a half.
