I think I have stumbled into the knitting equivalent of the Black Hole. What is a “Knitting Black Hole”? I think it is different for each knitter or crocheter. Here is my present BH. I am at the tail end on three large projects. My Simple Vegetarian Fur Blanket is more than a half way through. At this point it has become a little too heavy and a little too long to wrestle with easily. And it is too large to be knit “on the road”.
As to the “Ample Shawl” – it is still suitable for knitting on the go, and it is probably 3/4 done. I got to take it off the needles to see how long it really is. I have been putting this chore off for a few days. So I just knit it as is.
The last and the closest to completion is my “Ten stitch twist” blanket. Simply because I am almost out of yarn.
The problem is that while I have been making a fair amount of progress on all three projects I really want to start (or finish) something small and bright and very, very Summery.
But I have made a pledge here that I will finish at least two of these projects first. And I am frankly bored with them.
So last night I made a momentous decision. Instead of knitting all three projects at the same time I will push one to completion. I chose the “Ten stitch twist” because it is closest to being done (like I said – the yarn issue). Since last night I have done practically nothing but knit, knit, knit on this blanket. The kids are having oatmeal and Ice Cream for dinner (they are not complaining). Luckily, I do not need food – I got a cold and my throat is swollen shut, so I live on tea. DH – well, we got some leftover chicken, or he can have Ice Cream too. See, he even has a choice.
Meanwhile, I finished the ball I started last night and now attaching the last ball.
And then… Then we shall see.
