“Knit and nurse” pretty much describes my major activities at this point. I nurse, I knit, I turn around, and it is now a week later than it was the last time I looked.
Thankfully, since I my friend gave me her nursing pillow I can now more or less combine these activities. And so as DS #4 is busy getting his milk in I work on his wardrobe and it is growing, slowly but steadily.
In the past few weeks I finished two sweaters, a pair of pants, two hats and a pair of booties. The latest is “Keep My Ears Warm Baby Hat”.
His blanket is not growing very fast, mainly because it is now too large for our “knit and nurse” sessions. It will probably be saved for next Winter since the weather here has suddenly warmed up a lot. We are actually expecting temperatures over 80 this week!
And this brings on my next thought. What can be knit for a baby boy to wear in warm weather? Any ideas?
Meanwhile I have figured out how to knit a bumper for the baby bed, since somehow DS 4 manages to move himself into the corner every time he sleeps there.
His alternative sleeping place is my bed and there I fulfill the duties of the bumper. I think I want to use a nice, plump yarn made out of the cotton knit strips. This should give me plump knit fabric, firm enough to stand up and be baby safe at the same time.
Hopefully tomorrow will not be just warm, but sunny too and I will be able to take pictures of all the finished projects.
I got to run, DD #4 has a school party today. And since we will be going out anyway I just might stop by our LYS for that bumper yarn and I might check out what did they get in cotton yarns.
