Last night was pretty scary. The thunder and lightning, the driving rain and worst of all the hail!!!
Kids clustered around me and we just stared at the window while pieces of ice were flung from the sky. Of course, DH took a picture.
With all this drama the bedtime was incredibly late. And little people kept wandering in and out complaining about the noise. DS #3 (who just turned 5) told me that I should stop the thunder “right now”. It is wonderful to feel so powerful. So with all this wanderings around it was about 1A.M. when I got around to checking my morning alarms. I could not find my cell phone.
I looked all over the house, actually ripped through it like a hurricane and finally remembered that I left the darn thing in the baby carriage.
During my search I dumped out my knitting bag a.k.a. my purse. Then, as I was putting it together I counted up the projects in it:
An almost finished toddler skirt.
The top from a toddler hat.
A soldier’s hat, half-way done.
Sock for DH – barely started.
Black socks for me – kitted up, but not started.
Another baby hat kitted up, not started.
Pants for the baby, only waistband done. Could not find this project for a week/
2 crochet projects in case someone takes away my knitting. I guess I have been pretty stressed out lately.
I never have just one project in my bag when I go out. I actually measure my stress level by the number of projects in my bag. The more nervous I am the more yarn I am dragging around with me.
I guess I am a bit stressed now.
