I have been infected by a “Granny Virus”. It is extremely catching! Beware!
All I did was to innocently visit Yarnerian’s Blog. That was it. Done in!
Now, after not picking up my hooks in quite a while I feel an overwhelming urge to make myself an afghan.
Of course this will necessitate more yarn shopping. Good thing that Eli is a half-world away and will not be disturbed by it.
I asked my Internet friends for the pattern to this two afghans that captured my imagination.
Here is a link to a wonderful tutorial for the African Flower Hexagon Crochet Tutorial
As to the Granny Stripe Afghan – there are quite a few of them out there:
Here is a one from Project Linus
Here is a beautiful Baby Ripple Afghan
If you are on Ravelry check out this Ripple
This one is not a ripple, but just stripes – very, very nice.
Finally, this one is just amazing!
They are so much fun. Of course I can not start until I get my yarn, so instead I am playing with the headband idea I got a while ago. Sorry no photos yet. You will have to wait until Eli comes home.
