Do I sound like a petulant toddler? Maybe it is because I am feeling like one. I can not wait for the winter to end. I was actually grateful to today’s rain for washing away a lot of dirty snow. Winter is not pretty in the city. At least it is not pretty where we live.
So, I can not wait for the Spring to come. I am creating my Spring bit by bit. I am playing with colorful, “springy” yarns and beads and dreaming of the time, when I will not have to wear my coat outside. I just treated myself to the very pretty yarn from Yarnerian.
The only dilemma here is which skein do I want to start on first!
I have also finally finished my Pi shawl today. I started it a long time ago. When I looked at it I realized that it resembled a Spring meadow with the flowers in bloom (if you were looking from a mountain down).
My DH, feeling sympathy for my Spring craving, brought home a bunch of blooming willow branches. We used to call them “kittens” in Russia.
I have put them in the window right across from my bed. Every time I look up – I see them and feel Spring. In Russia we knew that the Winter was almost gone, when the willow started blooming.
