I am really not a bad cook. Forget it, I am a good cook and a good baker. But this thing has defeated me. I have won it 2 years ago at the charity auction. It is a bread machine, that was supposed to provide my family with lovely fresh bread in the morning. I dreamed about making sandwiches out of the fresh bread and, how my kids would love them. I have tried it out and it was a let down. It was not the bread machine. The darn thing was mislabeled! It was a brick machine. The object that we ended up with after 3 hours of excited waiting was a true brick, even the color was the same. My wonderful spouse told me that I have surely made a mistake somewhere along the way, HE will try it. Well who am I to stand between a man and a bread (brick) machine. He tried it, we got another brick. I thought that if we keep going this way we could build an addition to our apartment. I do not know why we did not get rid of the beast, but we put it away into the darker corner of the closet until in the insane attempt to initiate Pesach cleaning I have unearthed it. My older kids (11 and 9) were really curios. Then my oldest son, who is 11, wanted to try it out. What can I say? “My children made me do it!” We have another brick. Unfortunately we got rid of the first two long time ago, so we really do not need this one. I have asked my DH to put it out in the hallway with the brick still inside it and instructions included if any one else wants to try. I do not want to be there.
