I am still doing the happy dance with my Happy Sweater.
It has been ripped out and re-knit one more time. Last night as I bound off the body and neck DD #4 told me that she likes it like it is and can I not change it anymore…
OK, I like it too. So I started on one of the sleeves this morning. Did not like it, tinked back a few rounds and re-knit adding more decreases.
I am truly enjoying learning behavioral pattern of bulky yarn.
Right now the sleeve is half done and I had to put the sweater away until DD comes home and we try it on.
this does not mean that I am knit deprived! I am now seriously working on the pattern for my “Joyful!” Shawl. And as I write I knit it at the same time. This will just be a small shawlette to test out the pattern. But the yarn is beautiful soft Yak Dawn and I am in love with the feel of it. The colors are a bit darker than I usually choose, but perfect for a cool Winter day.
And it is getting cool here, in Israel. When I woke up at 6.30 AM this morning I noticed that the temperature actually dipped below sixty! I am sorry to see the Summer go, but I love this sweater weather. Last year we really did not need coats, heavy sweaters were warm enough, will see what happens this year.
