Wow, Chicken Stitches Blog is now four years old! It is time for a special Blogiversary post!
I am grateful to all my readers, old and new, who come and read my blog. I have to admit to being an intellectual exhibitionist – it is so much more fun for me to write this blog, because I know you will read it. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to share my thoughts, my knitting and crochet projects and cute pictures of my kids.
Last year has been a very, very good year in so many ways. First and foremost, of course, it was a Baby Year. And even though by now the baby is 5 months old, I am still full of wonder and awe every time I look at her.
I have not been able to post as much as I would like last year, but hopefully I am getting better at it. My goal for this year is a post a day, even if it will be a short one, telling you how frustrated I am because I got no time to knit. Most importantly I hope to post about each and every project I am working on, one project at a time.
I have been very lucky last year with my Amazing Siberian Slippers pattern. Both Kids and Adults versions. Over 400 copies have been sold! Many thanks to all the wonderful knitters who purchased the pattern. Even more thanks to all, who actually knit the slippers.
If you are one of these, please get in touch with me for the special Amazing Slipper Giveaway.
I was also happy to share these free knitting patterns with my readers:
Baby Checks Blanket Pattern
Good Mood Shawl Pattern
Knit Crown Pattern
Ample Shawl Tutorial
Creating them and sharing is a pleasure.
There are three more patterns that are percolating in my fuzzy brain, but I still need to do a lot of test knitting to get them to the publishing stage.
During the past year I have become active on Twitter and Facebook. I post there a few times each day and it is a good way to keep up with what is happening with me. Not up to twitting – no problem. You can read my twits on the sidebar of my blog.
And now, onto the good stuff!
I would like to offer four special prizes for lucky winners!!!
There are four different categories in which you can win your prize.
You can enter all four categories. But please read the conditions carefully to make sure you are eligible. The winners will be selected next Wednesday, February 6th.
The winner in each category will be selected by the tried and true scientific method of selecting a random winner by pulling a name out of the hat. Hat will be donated by DH and selection made by my very impartial 2 year-old daughter. Impartiality guaranteed by her illiteracy.
All blog readers are eligible for first prize!!!
Two skeins of famous Blauband Maxi Ringel by Froehlich Wolle, sock yarn in pretty purple stripes. A mini-skein of reinforcing thread for heels and toes is included with each skein. And a set of 6 stitch markers from my new Spring collection.
