As of yesterday my wonderful husband is now officially a year older!
What can I say? Just repeat over and over again how wonderful he is and how mu8ch his support means to me.
He has been one strong person on whom I could always rely no matter what has been happening. This past year has been patchy. We had good easy times and some rough and terrifying rides. And I am happy to say that both the ruff and the smooth has made us grow closer.
Moving to Israel was wonderful for Eli for so many reasons. He seems to breathe much easier here, Hey, even my Mother, when she visited us here noted that he seemed very relaxed and happy.
What do I wish for him in this coming year?..
I am going for simple old fashion things – health for both of us, happiness from our kids, success in his learning and his job.
Happy Birthday Eli!
My gift to him? A pair of Computer Mitts to keep his fingers warm in the office as he works on his so very complicated (meaning incomprehensible for me) computer codes.
These were made for maximal comfort and feature:
medium length cuffs (so they would not bunch up under his jacket),
cabling on the cuffs for maximum elasticity,
decorative cables on the back of the hand – just because I wanted to show off, LOL,
smooth palm for comfort,
very elastic ribbing at the top of the hand so his fingers might span as much of the keyboard as possible,
crochet Bind Off for maximal elasticity.
The wonderful silk-merino yarn feels wonderfully soft and smooth and I got about a half of a skein left. And I am already making plans for it. For me!
P.S. I know Eli looks a bit startled in this photo… My wonderful DH avoids his picture taken at all costs, so I literally had to jump out at him from around the corner and snap it! There was no chance to take another one.
