I am still working on my secret crochet project. I remember that I said I will try to publish a pattern a week. Sorry, this comes a little late, due to the Jewish Holidays, but here is the second flower from Henya’s Bouquet.
This pretty flower was originally designed by my Grandmother.
I have found it in her album without the instructions and reverse engineered it.
It makes a very pretty flower in one color – the way my grandmother originally made it, or in two colors, as I prefer.
Grandma’s Flower Pattern
Appropriate crochet hook.
I am using Camila 6/4, by Madame Tricote – fingering weight mercerized cotton and crochet hook US#4 – 3.50mm.
Ch – Chain
St. – Stitch
Sl.St. – Slip Stitch
DC – Double Crochet
SC – Single Crochet
With Color A
Ch 4, 15 DC in the fourth Ch from the hook. Sl.St. Total of 16 stitches. Cut the yarn, leaving a long end to weave in.
Attach color B.
(1 SC in the first stitch of the previous round. Ch 5, 1 SC in the same St. 1 SC on the next St.) repeat 7 more times. Sl.St. together.
(5 DC in the first loop of chain stitches of the previous round, 1 SC in the first SC of the previous round) repeat 7 more times. Sl.St. together.
Make as many as you want and have fun playing with colors and textures.
