Finally, my latest knitterly accomplishment!
During our first week in Israel I realized how vital all kinds of blankets were here. So I started a knitted blanket, following (gasp) a pattern I had queue for a long time. I started Ten Stitch Twist, by Frankie Brown with a lot of confidence and an expectation of some easy automatic knitting. Well guess who is eating humble pie now! I have tried starting it at least 8 times. No go. Finally, today I Ripped out the whole sorry thing and started again. Got the circle done and got another brain cramp. It took me over two hours to knit this little yellow wedge. Two hours!!! And a lot of chocolate – thank G-d we have plenty in the house right now. Not all of the words muttered during the process were PG13 too. Not a designer’s fault at all. The pattern is actually very well written. Just a brain cramp.
I am using a new Chroma yarn from Knit Picks in Lollipop colorway. I love it a lot. It is very soft and forgiving, has wonderful stitch definition and it is washable too. I have a feeling it will pill a lot, but it is not a huge problem with a blanket.
