I am not sure what happened to last week. I mean I know it was there… Somewhere… Sometime… But that is about all the information I am prepared to give at this moment.
What can I say? I walk slow and live fast!
I stared writing a post on Friday and had to abandon it due to the cooking that just “had to be done”. And DH, who decided that my blog “had” to be updated. Yea, I know it is his way of saying “I love you”. So he run back up (actually three different back ups) before he started in on the updates.
Well I do seem to be knitting more than ever.
The “Sorbet” skirt is getting its bottom ruffle on tonight and I hope to finish the little in-between ruffles tomorrow on the bus.
On the bus?
Yes, this Chicken is off traveling again!
It is an annual “Neighborhood Ladies’ Getaway”. We are taking a tiny bus tomorrow that is going first to Yerushalaim (Jerusalem) and then to Kever Rochel (grave of our Mother Rochel, one of the Matriarchs). Due to the security situation it is an adults only trip. DH is a bit tense about it, but I am very excited and my fingers are itching in the anticipation of all that knitting time on the bus.
Well, back to the knitting. I had a serious disagreement with a “Little Love” dress.
I still love it, but… I admit now that mixing together complicated cables, basketweave stitch and variegated yarn was not a good idea. But I got a good excuse! The children made me do it! The dress is for now in a time out bad. It is waiting until I will finish the “Sorbet” skirt.
Meanwhile I can tell that Fall is coming because I started getting orders for my Stitch Markers! This makes me very, very happy. About six months ago I thought that I would have to stop making them because my hands were just too sore and trembly. Well, with the heat of the Summer and my new diet my hands are doing much, much better and I enjoy making markers again. Here is a little set I made today.
That is it for tonight. I hope to take lots of pictures on my trip and yes, get lots of knitting done. I keep debating with myself which projects to take so I could knit some prayers into them in these Holly places.
P.S. If you want me to mention someone special in my prayers you can write it in the comment or send me an email.
