My kids and my friends are the source of most of the inspiration for my designs. With DH happily chearleading me into more and more experiments.
I have started to seriously “play” with stringing. Yes, I know, I said that I would never do it. Promises, promises….
Anyway, the school year has ended and I wanted to do something very special for my 4 year old son’s teacher. Mora (teacher) Nettle has been wonderful! We all love her. She made it her business to know all of my kids and talk, I mean seriously TALK to them all.
Here is a necklace I made for her as a thank you gift.
My other friend Bassy is leaving for Israel Sunday morning. She is going to be there for a month. Bassy I will miss you! I had a really busy Friday this week, and was very happy that I could finish it and send it over before Shabbos started.
My lovely friend Shulamis has made to move to Israel about two years ago. I can not believe it has been this long. I miss her very much and hope to see her soon. In Israel she has discovered beading and the art of making lampwork beads. It is hard for me to imagine my tiny friend working with molten glass. Here are some of the beauties she made for me.
When we talked last time I asked what colors are her favorite ones. She told me that she loved all things blue. I made two of these special necklaces. One for her and one for me.
