Hooray! One more project bag is now empty!
I finished up the Sea Foam Shawl late Wednesday night! Now all that left to do is to weave in the ends. A gazilion slippery ends… I am not excited… But I will do it. On Sunday…
I was planing to do it yesterday but it was not to be. I went it to the doctor to have my biweekly iron shot and it did not go well. The Doctor told me that the vein moved and a large part of the medication went in past it. It happened once before. At least this time around I started screaming right away and the doctor stopped the injection. It is very painfully and even now, 24 hours after it happened moving my right hand is very hard.
So there was no ends weaving. I actually had to call DH to come and get me from the clinic. I could not even lift my knitting bag. Add to it dizzy, disoriented and sleepy (these are the normal side effects of the shot) and the picture will not be pretty at all. DH took me to his office and I sat there and pecked away (I hesitate to call what I did knitting) at the Sorbet Skirt. Amazing Siberian Slippers with the two color pattern were too complicated. I had to rip out today 8 rows I did before I gave up due to the brain cramp.
Today I am doing much better, but both right arm and the left hand (the spot where the rest of the medication was injected) are still painful. I am looking forward to Shabbos and not moving much.
The only knitting I could manage today was my “In Bloom” blanket. Just plane knitting round and round… Easy and less painful than anything else. What can I say – pain hearts but not knitting is hearts even more…
Meanwhile I got to run and finish up my cooking. I wish you a very Good Shabbos.
