Last week I had to pass by our local Yarn Shop. I was not going to enter. OK, OK, I know this is denial, but I really thought I could pass it by.
Well, I just took a little look at the shop window and I had to come in. They had a very interesting yarn (I thought from outside it was ribbon) in crazy Carmen Mirandesque colors.
Well, I am a strong person, so I pushed that door and walked in.
The shopkeeper was busy, so I had a good look around the Shop. There were few interesting yarns (all synthetics) but I nobly resisted.
Then when the lady was finally available I asked her about the yarn in the window. She showed to me a part of the scarf started with this yarn. Turned out it was not a ribbon. Instead it is like a wide lace edging. The ruffled effect is really pretty! One skein makes one scarf!
I have to say that I have walked out of the shop without buying the skein that drew me in…
Instead I got a totally different colorway.
