As my friends in the US celebrate Thanksgiving I decided to make a list of all the things I am thankful for. As you know things were not easy around here and I hope and pray this will change. But even now I am sure I can find what I am thankful for.
So in no particular order:
I am thankful that I know that G-d exists. And for a wonderful gift of faith. In this difficult times one of the major things that keeps me from despair is knowing that everything comes from G-d and G-d loves me.
I am thankful for my wonderful DH. We have lived through some very good times and we have been through some really rough times. His love and support keep me sane.
I am thankful for my kids. Even when they are driving me up the wall with frustration and wonder. They are loving, they are smart, they are kind and they make sure I am never bored.
I am thankful for my hands, for all they are able to do. For being able to knit, crochet, bead and cook. There was a time when I was sure that I can do anything with my hands. Thankfully I was wrong.
I am thankful for my eyesight. I do not think I have to elaborate on it.
I am thankful for the gift of writing and the gift of English.
I am thankful to be living in the Land of Israel. I get a spiritual lift just by looking out of the window.
I am thankful that I have both my parents and can speak to them occasionally.
I am thankful for my amazing friends. Both near and far away. I have never met some of you, but still feel the warmth and friendship. Your support and understanding mean a lot to me.
I am grateful for the amazing lemon tree that has an astonishing number of lemons this year. Every time I look at it I feel the presence of G-d.
I am thankful every time someone buys patterns or stitch markers from my Chicken Stitches website or Etsy Shop. Besides the money (and I can surely use the money) I get a tremendous boost of self esteem that someone decided that my creations are worth having.
I was going to stop at 10, but just had to include the lemon tree. So now
I am grateful for so many wonderful blessings!
And this makes an even dozen!
