Things have not been easy lately. That is part of the reason why I keep falling off the blog radar.
What can I tell you, my life is an adventure. Last week on the way to ulpan I boarded the bus and the driver pulled off the stop so sharply that I fell down and over and hit my face very hard on some broken off metal pipe. I have to say that I am very lucky, thank G-d, and my glasses protected my eye and the darn thing missed my temple by millimeters. But I got that certain look… You know a bruised cheek and a huge shiner and do not want to be seen outside. I had to spend the rest of that day in the emergency room. Did not someone say I should have my head examined – well I finally did! Thank G-d I had lots of knitting with me.
I kept switching back and forth between two pairs of socks, a shawl, and a baby sweater. I realized that I could really knit “blind” after the eye doctor put the droops in my eye. The shawl had lots of markers and I could “read” them by touch alone.
Since then I finished one of the pairs of socks and DS #1 took them to his yeshiva on Sunday. Warm, thick sock are the best cure for cold and drafty floors there.
Actually we got very cold and drafty floors here too. So I need to knit more socks…
