Now, why can’t I be like my Grandmother?! She makes absolutely amazing things, one project at the time. She is never tempted to start another until she is all done and all the loose ends are woven in.
I, on the other hand, have delusions of free time. Or is it delusions of grandeur, where I think I am a Super Chicken? I told DH yesterday – if only I could knit with my toes, then my hands would be free for crochet and beading. And a voice operated computer, so I could write my blog while my hands and feet are busy. If you noticed that I do not mention the housecleaning you are not alone. OK, so I need a self-cleaning house. I hope someone invents it soon.
I have now started 3 large projects, that keep competing for my attention.
I got my Ten stitch twist Rainbow Afghan going. I love the colors and the funky shape. And I got 4 more balls of yarn to knit into it. I try to do at least one color repeat on it daily – there are about 3 repeats in a ball. This means I should be finished in about 2 weeks, but I am not holding my breath. Still, it is growing bit, by bit.
The other “big baby” is my Simple Vegetarian Blanket. It is a bit more than a third done. Again, my daily goal here is one color stripe. Lots more to go, but it is such fun knitting it.
Last, but not least is my newest project – An Ample Shawl. I have to really hurry up this one, because my friend is living for the US in about a month and I want the shawl to be really ample. So I will not start any more projects until I finish it.
OK, so I am unable to be “faithful” to just one project, but I can do it with three. I guess I am just a polygamous knitter, that’s all.
