I have not posted in such a long time that it is probably a record of some kind. All I can say is – Sorry!
I have been a bit under the weather lately but I am beginning to feel better. I was not sick exactly, just felt blue.
Besides, all kids have been home! Yes, all seven of them! I feel like a telegraph – I am thinking in dots and dashes – there is no time for the thoughts to flow, someone keeps interrupting me every other minute.
Thankfully, as of yesterday DS#2 and DS#3 are in camp! They got so tired out today that they both fell asleep right after they got home. I do not know about you, but if there are any Bluebirds in Israel – they were singing for me.
A week ago my friend Bassy came from the US and I am happy to report that she loves her “Good Mood” Scarf. I was so glad to be able to give her a present she likes.
We went on the mini-hike in the hills and talked a lot. I hope I will get to see her again before she goes back.
Then, last Thursday, we all went to a wedding of a cousin in Yerushalayim.
It was fun! It was wonderful! And of course exhausting!
I have been knitting a lot in the last few days. When I say a lot – I mean a lot more than I usually do. I am working on two more “Good Mood” Shawls at the same time.
I decided that I was due for some selfish knitting. So the first one is for me! I am knitting it using Audrey, by Schaefer Yarn. It is a lace yarn, with a fiber content of 50% Merino, 50% Cultivated Silk. The name of the colorway is “Little Mermaid”, surprisingly it is intended for kids. To me it seems strange because the yarn is a bit too fragile for an average kid. And way too expensive! But on size 5 US needles it will make a wonderfully airy Summer shawl.
The second “Good Mood” Shawl I am working on is for DD#1. After she fell in love with the original “Good Mood” Shawl I promised her one of her own. Once more I am using PennyRose yarn by Yarnarian. I am making it striped by mixing a bright pink and beautiful green (Yarnarian calls it Chartreuse).
The fiber composition is 75% wool and 25% nylon. The colors are very beautiful and the yarn has perfect stitch definition.
