You know what happens with good intentions?
My mother always told me that they are used as paving material in a certain place I would not care to visit.
As I got upright today (notice I am not saying I woke up), I realized that I was super efficient yesterday. Not only did I miss a friend’s wedding, I also missed an upshernish (a first haircut), done when the boy reaches 3 years old. Besides that I missed my blogspot too!
Well, I am not missing it no more! Besides I really wanted to see what was inside box #2. Yes, I know I ordered it, but it was a loooong time ago. So I forgot.
All that aside this box took a long time reaching me. Remember, how I wrote that Box #1 being delivered was a minor miracle? Well, I guess not every box merits one. This one was MIA for two weeks. Then it took some effort to prize it away from our postal workers. Here in Brooklyn I wonder why they do not have metal detectors at the post office or at the very least do not supply all the customers with a free mandatory tranquilizer (price included in your postage).
Enough about that. Here are my newest beads!
Ordering beads from the Internet is a hit or miss proposition. You never know how they will look in reality. Or, sometimes, how large they would be. So it is an adventure. And I love adventures!
I am very happy with this batch. It is mainly spacers for string in between bigger beads. I am also wondering about making a beaded collar on a sweater.
I also got some very pretty new “I Love 2 Quilt” charms.
I am going to make them into beaded Scissor Fobs and Zipper Pulls for quilters. If anyone is interested – just let me know. I only have a few of each kind.
Three more boxes to go!
