I have to admit. I did not knit much in the past two days. Mainly because I got upset and obsessed with a few forums on Raverly.
Usually I try to refrain from expressing my political opinions too strongly. Partly because of the good old Russian paranoia – open your mouth and earn a free one-way trip to Siberia. The other part is that I simply do not want to get slammed for my opinions. I do not enjoy the feeling.
But the latest debacle – “The Flotilla” got me to open my mouth. It got shut for me pretty fast and my eyeballs are still rolling in my head.
Somehow the things that seemed evident or known to me are debatable. People are willing to postulate that Israel is NOT a small country. Yes, I invited them to take a look at the map. It did not help. Or it seems strange to some why are New Yorkers are upset about the proposition to build a new mosque near Ground Zero. Some question the morality of physically eliminating terrorists or the right of an independent country to enforce its and international marine laws.
Well now I know. So after waisting so much time, because an open mind is a very rare thing, I decided that enough is enough. I am going back to my knitting. So I started two more things. A skirt and a crochet Summer hat for DD #2.
