It has been such a very long time since I posted that starting up the Blog again is so very hard.
But today is the day.
I am back to blogging and after over a month I am back to knitting. Funny how these two things are related for me.
I have barely knit a stitch in the past month.
Just… did… not… feel… like it…
I am not sure how it happened. One day I was knitting up a storm, thinking up new things to knit and writing down new patterns, next day I just was not in the mood for any knitting. Shocking, is not it? First time it happened to me! I even stopped carrying knitting with me when I went out.
I think I have simply been too tired to knit.
Well two days ago i picked up the Checkered Cables sock I started for DD #2 a while ago and realized that I only had about eight rounds more left to do on the leg. So I did them. Then the heel, gusset, foot and toe…
All of a sudden it was hard to put the needles down. This morning I wove in the ends and moved on to my own pair of socks that has been lingering for a while.
I need to go through all the projects started up earlier and start planing my Fall knitting. After all July is almost over.
Now I got to just survive August with all my kids on vacation. Today is the last day of school for boys. Thankfully they got camp for the next 3 weeks.
My oldest 2 are working in Summer Camps. Funny, most 19 year old male persons (we dare not call them children, at least not where they can read it) would be willing to do almost anything rather than take care of a bunch of three year-olds, but my DS #1 loves doing it. DD #1 is also working as a camp counselor, but her campers are older – between 7 and 9. Usually she too works with little boys – she proudly told me that she is considered a “boy specialist”. My 14 year old DD #2 is committed to babysitting 4 pretty rowdy kids kids (not mine) and so I am left mainly with the younger three.
Surely, I can survive another month…
If I keep knitting.
