I am feeling tired but satisfied. I have finally made a foray into the LYS and got the zippers to put into my vests. Five vests. From tiny baby vest for DD #5 to a humongous vest for me. You should have seen the faces of the LYS owner and a few knitters who were there when I started to pull out my vests.
But back to the zippers. Five zippers, that will now have to be sewn in. And sewing is still a curse word for me. Scary! But I am going to do it. The day after tomorrow. Why not tomorrow you will ask? Simple – tomorrow I am going to try and finish up the back and fronts on a vest for DS #1.
This is a priority!
I was only going to buy these zippers, but…
I will say it again, it is not my fault! The sales lady was busy. And so I simply had to look around. So I got some yarn too.
A huge fat ball of bulky Pink Acrylic/Wool blend will probably become a blanket for next Winter. I have asked the shop owner to put aside a few more balls for me. I want to swatch this one. And then abuse it to see how well it will stand up to being loved by my kids.
And a couple of balls of this cute Brown-beige-blue variegated yarn. Also an Acrylic/Wool blend. I thought DD #1 will love the colors. And she does. So I told her that she has to buy the other three balls herself and then I will help her to knit a sweater. She told me that she got to think about it.
